Lead Climbing
The Lead Climbing facilities at the Rockface just have to be seen to be believed.
Fantastic lead climbs for all levels of ability up to 20 metres high with awesome overhangs!
Lead climbing is different to the top rope climbing you learn when you first start climbing. The basic difference is that you clip the ropes as you climb rather than the ropes being fixed to the top of the climb. This makes for exhilarating stuff! It is, however, a completely different technique, both for the belayer and the climber.
All the equipment is provided including the leading rope.

- £50 per session. Each session lasts for one hour
and is designed for either 2 or 3 people
- Like all courses at the Rockface, Europe's Premier Indoor Climbing Centre, we believe in making life as easy for you.
- All course start times and dates are chosen by you for your convenience.
- This is personal instruction at its best and is designed around you and your climbing partner's specific needs. You are not in a large impersonal group. This means you learn a lot quicker but at your own pace.
- All the necessary climbing and safety equipment is included.
- Simply book in advance. Arrive 15 minutes before the start time and wear loose clothing and training shoes
